K&J Catering was open to an "Outside the Box" Grooms Dinner as we really wanted to have a Fiesta Taco Bar they brought forth ideas and what they could do and it was fantastic. They showed up on time, the food was hot, and there was plenty of food(even leftovers). Our guests said the food was amazing. Not to mention the staff at K&J are hands down AMAZING to work with. From the beginning of our inquiry regarding their services to the end of the wedding they were easy to work with and friendly and accommodating and professional. We did all the planning from 2000 miles away. The wedding venue was not one on their website and yet they were timely and unobtrusive. The appetizer selections and tables were delicious and beautifully presented. We received many compliments from guests even about these appetizer tables. The dining tables set up was gorgeous and they worked well with my daughter facilitating her choices. The buffet food was delicious. They even accommodated gluten free marinade for the steak fajitas. The whole array of food choices were delicious and plentiful. The staff was professional and quietly went about their business of providing a top notch wedding buffet. I don't think you could find better value then K&J Catering.read more

We worked with K and J for our wedding, and we absolutely loved our experience!! Their energy about giving us exactly what we wanted from day one was absolutely infectious. We taste tested the shrimp scampi, and were immediately sold; easily the best shrimp scampi we have ever EVER had! They worked with us to get the exact craft beer we wanted for our bar, and were able to make several menu items gluten free to accommodate our guests. We had the charcoal grilled turkey, burgundy beef tips, and shrimp scampi and each entree was absolutely perfect. Over a month later and our guests are still talking about how great our food was! I loved K & J Catering from the moment Jean responded to my first email on a Friday night(!) with lightning-fast speed! And then, when we were able to test taste the food, which was exceptionally good! We used the value option from their website, which was very reasonable (the website is excellent and answers most of your questions). They went above and beyond in customer service, Jean always getting back to me immediately with answers to my questions. And, Kurt gave us the royal treatment, when we went to pick up our food sample, by giving us a tour of their building, telling us about their history and taking time to talk with us about our event and how they could help. On the day of our event, the servers arrived right on time and were very professional. Our guests raved that day, and have since, about the food! Our experience could not have been better, from start to finish. Having visited their location and the two rooms, so beautifully decorated, that are available to be used, as well, for events, I would love to plan and host a ladies' luncheon in their Victorian Room! The celebration room was exactly what we were looking for in a reception hall! We received many compliments from our guests on the food (we got the chicken carbonara and the ham) and on the decorations provided by the hall (the tulle and lights were the perfect atmosphere). Kurt and Jean were very flexible and accommodating to our requests for extra tables, food allergies, the set up of the decorations we brought in, the DJ's preparation etc. We did not have a single complaint and whole-heartedly recommend the hall and the catering! They arrived with more than enough time to spare so they were able to start serving drinks before the ceremony started, even though they didn't need to start until after the ceremony. People really appreciated that! The bartenders were very nice and even made me a special drink that I could enjoy because I never drink and I don't like the taste of alcohol. K & J is like a fine wine. They get better with age. We first used them 27 years ago for our wedding. Since then they have done my brothers wedding, a class reunion, a friends grad party and now my Moms funeral. They made it so easy and took all the pressure off us so we could focus on our loss. Luckily, K&J managed to please the two biggest critics in the family, along with the rest of our wedding guests. This venue is amazing. I was celebrating a formal dinner that required a DVD of pictures. Upon arrival the DVD was not working. Thankfully I was there early enough to try multiple DVD players. The staff went completely out of their way to ensure that the DVD worked! They were able to get it working by doing everything possible. I'm amazed at the level of customer service that they emulated. I work in hotels and very rarely come across that amount of personableness.
